BBQ and Fun Gathering

Date Taken: 23/6/2012

A boxing days for me for these few months for wedding preparation and finally my Master graduation! Dug out few of my photos taken in June during a fun BBQ gathering with my old schoolmates. Luckily enough, i have managed to buy Panasonic a second hand 20mm f/1.7 lenses for my G3. I've long been very very keen on this lenses since almost all the reviews that i read give high rating on this lens optic quality except the slow focus speed and the moving front lenses. Nevertheless and finally i got my permit to buy the lens.

This is a cute little lens, easy to bring and maneuver. This is my first time spend time enjoy taking photo with this lens. please follow me here with my photos, all the photos posted here do not post-processed.

(f/1.7, 1/4000sec, ISO-800)

My friend, Soon Fa, movement make this lens difficult to focus due to the focus speed. I tried the Olympus 45mm F1.8 before, the olympus one is really lightning fast, dunno when Pana will launch a revised version ... but i think the price will be closed to the Pana 25mm f1.4, which is closed to SGD700~800 for second hand instead of SGD400-500.

All the photos taken here are wide open for the fun of bokeh effect and low light environment in the nite BBQ, i'm planning to have another F/5 shooting next time when i'm free because i believe the photo will be much sharper. But one thing for sure and immediately can see is: the 20mm F/1.7 can magnify to 4x on the G3 screen which is almost equivalent to 14-42mm kit lens 2x, and it's obviously because of the high resolution of the 20mm optics.
